<description>I like this post. I got into a tiff with my best friend of 8 years. We stopped speaking for 4 months over something that just seemed so little and stupid now. She tried to talk to me again but I had kept her at arms length because I was hurt, and betrayed and felt taken for granted. Like it was easy for my best friend to write me off for months and that in turn made it easy for me to treat her the same. Right? Wrong:(

Well, what do you know almost 2 years later she is the friend that I need most in this world. We have managed to patch up some of the previous issues and become good friends again. But the &quot;space&quot; between us is still there. It&#039;s never going to be how it used to be when my phone would ring first thing on a Saturday morning...okay..noon...I would pick up and there is my bestie. First call of the day!! I miss that. But I am grateful that we are back to communicating and knowing full well that its a friendship that can survive, evolve and change when needed.
